How it works

Three steps from a tape measure to a plan

The plan grows in layers: your plot first, then your answers, then every plant, counted. Below is the same garden at each step.

  1. Draw your plot or type its size

    Mark the house, the terrace, the trees that stay and the ground where nothing may grow, like a septic tank. In the app you draw with a finger, standing in the garden.

  2. Answer a few questions

    How much sun, what soil, who uses the garden and how much time you have for it. Plants poisonous to children and dogs drop out straight away.

  3. Get three ideas

    Each one is a plan in metres, plants by the piece, a cost for materials and a picture of how the garden could look. Change an answer and the plan lays itself out again.

Plants and safety

Plants chosen for your spot

For every plant we check frost, sun, soil, moisture, how big it grows, whether it is poisonous to children and pets and whether it spreads. Every choice comes with its reason, and the botanical name sits next to the common one.

Your data and our rules

The main points in six sentences. The privacy policy has the rest.

Privacy policy

  • The studio works without an account. You create one only when you want to keep a garden.

  • The plan is worked out from your measurements. A picture only shows the mood and is always labelled “Illustrative visualization”.

  • Photos of your plot stay yours: we remove location data from them, never train models on them and never use them in adverts without your consent.

  • You delete a garden or your whole account yourself, in the account settings, and the photos and pictures go with it.

  • We don't guess what can't be seen: you mark pipes, cables and drains, and the plan keeps clear of them.

  • You pay on Stripe's own page, so your card details never reach us.

The questions people actually ask

Including the ones where the honest answer is no.

Can it measure my garden from a photo?

No. A photo has no scale, so anything that measures a plot from one is guessing. You type the width and depth, or draw the outline in the app and type the real length of each side. The photo is used for one thing only: the picture of the finished garden.

Will the picture show what my garden will really look like?

No. The plan is the part to trust: boundaries, areas, spacing and the number of plants all come from your measurements. The picture shows the mood of that plan and carries the label “Illustrative visualization” wherever it appears.

Will the plants survive where I live?

The catalogue of 97 plants was chosen for the Polish climate, and on 22 September 2026 a gardener with 30 years of practice checked and approved it. Every choice shows why the plant suits the spot. Hardiness is one signal; your soil, light and exposure decide the rest.

We have a small child and a dog. Does that change anything?

Yes. Seriously poisonous plants leave the plan completely, and thorns, allergens and plants that spread are flagged. In the example above, this is what it left out: Purple-leaf plum (Prunus cerasifera 'Nigra'), Blue Arrow juniper (Juniperus scopulorum 'Blue Arrow'), Fountain grass 'Hameln' (Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln'), Feather reed grass (Calamagrostis × acutiflora), Ornamental onion 'Purple Sensation' (Allium hollandicum 'Purple Sensation').

Are the costs real?

They are price ranges for materials in Poland, shown with what they leave out: labour, delivery and building work. Prices move with the region and the season, so you get a range with its basis instead of a single number.

Can Verdlo see pipes and cables under the lawn?

No, and nobody can from a photo or a plan. Mark the ones you know as ground where nothing may grow and the plan keeps clear of them. Before you dig, ask the utility companies where their lines run.

Do I need an account or a card?

Not to start. The studio works with no account and no card: you draw the plot and get three ideas with a plan, plants and a cost. An account keeps the garden. “My garden project” costs €24.99 once and adds 20 pictures and every layer of the plan for one garden.

Will you build the garden for me?

No. Verdlo is not a landscaping firm. You get the plan, the plant list and a sheet to hand to a contractor, or to build the garden yourself.
